Transform and renew

Good Morning Everyone,

I love the way the Lord shows me the way to go, what to do, how to live, and what to say, within my life. As I seek Him and His Presence, seek to know more about Jesus and the Father, He shows up in wonderful and glorious ways. Such was the case, yesterday. Our Pastor, Robert Morris of Gateway Church in Southlake, Frisco, and several other satellite churches, was preaching and was talking about someone that needed to renew his mind from pornography.

Bro. Morris asked this man to read the Word of God 30 minutes each day and report back to him in a month. (BTW, he asked the man to begin at Matthew and read the gospels, then go through the NT). When he saw the man, again, he was told how the thoughts that haunted him and kept him enslaved to the wickedness of the World, no longer bothered him!!!

His mind was renewed and the Lord had given him a great and glorious victory!!! This goes along with a Scripture in Romans 12:2-3 (AMP) which says; "Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. 3 For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him."

"RENEWING OF YOUR MIND", the NKJV says. The way we think has everything to do with who we are, what we do, and whether or not we are saved, delivered, and healed. A small portion of Proverbs 23:7 says; "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." This passage has to do with eating someones food that is giving it to you begrudgingly, but the phrase I quoted you, has to do with your life, in general.

We have always heard, "you are what you eat", and know that's totally true. Diet and discipline will help a multitude of physical problems, but thinking the wrong way can also cause so very many problems as well. Do you remember the time, in Mark 9 that a man brought his son to Jesus, with a spirit that made him not speak and would cause him to attempt hurt himself by fire and water? Jesus told the man in Mark 9:23 -24 (AMP); "And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes! 24 At once the father of the boy gave [an eager, piercing, inarticulate] cry with tears, and he said, Lord, I believe! [Constantly] help my weakness of faith!"

Jesus commanded the spirit to come out of the boy and he was totally healed!!!!! "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Jesus helped this man, just as He helped the man who began reading the Word, 30 minutes each and every day. The Word of God (Jesus, according to John 1, can and will help in each and every situation.

There's no telling how many times, I've prayed for an answer to a problem I was facing and would open my Bible. Suddenly, a Scripture would just leap off the page and into my spirit and I would go away with renewed hope, vigor, and knowing the situation had changed for my good.

Romans 8:28 (AMP) says; "We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose."

This verse doesn't say all things are good. It says, all things can and will be used by the Lord for our victory over each and every situation. My encouragement to you, today, is; "do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Philippians 4:8 tells us; "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."

This can and will happen as we read the Word, study the Word, Praise through the Word, pray the Word, and declare the Word over the situations that are troubling to us and bringing us down. One more verse. Galatians 5:1 (TPT says; "Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past."

Stop allowing the enemy to drag you back into things that have held you down. The Word, (Jesus) the Word, THE WORD, will set you free!!!!!!! Forget the things of the past and go forward in Jesus!!!!!!!!!!

Love in Jesus,

David
