Are you looking for someone who can manage time effectively, multi task, over see projects through to completion, have roots in the area making it less likely that they will leave and have excellent team management skills? Then look at a parent wishing to return back to work. The stay at home parent has many skills which are transferable into the work place. They have had to juggle many balls in the air and if you look more closely how they have managed tight budgets; time management; project management with a range of ages, talents and abilities and to remain as cool as a polar bear in the most difficult of negotiations. These parents, if you now add in the additional skill of often having to care for an older relative, are ideally placed to join you team. Sometimes taking a chance will ensure that both the parent and the company benefit.
