Transcend's Employee of the Week: Maya Ajroush

Maya Ajroush has been a Wellness Specialist at Transcend for 1 year and 4 months. She began as a Wellness Coordinator and has since advanced to a Wellness Specialist III. Her primary responsibilities include providing care to clients who come to us seeking support. She reviews lab results and educates them on health and wellness practices. "My goal is to help them achieve their best possible health outcomes."

What are your favorite aspects of the job?

"My favorite part about my job is definitely caring for clients and seeing their results. There's nothing more rewarding than knowing I've helped someone improve their health and well-being. It's truly fulfilling to see the positive impact we can make in their lives."

What are some of your interests and hobbies?

Maya has a passion for traveling, writing, and reading, "but most of all, I love traveling, because my goal is to explore the world." Maya has visited a handful of countries, but the most beautiful places she's visited were Greece, Albania, Dubai, and Thailand. "My next trip will be Japan and Bali."

What is the most challenging part of your job?

Maya says that the most challenging part of her job is working with clients who have seen many doctors without finding the right support. "It takes patience, empathy, and time to help them let their guard down and earn their trust, showing that I am dedicated to their care and genuinely want to help them on their journey to better health."

What advice would you give to be successful in your current role?

"To be successful in my current role, I would advise focusing on building strong relationships with clients by demonstrating genuine empathy and patience. It's important to actively listen to their concerns, provide clear and consistent communication, and stay committed to their care. Additionally, continuously updating your knowledge and skills in your field; will help you provide the best possible support and solutions."
