Transcending Potential

Transcending Potential

Dear family and friends,

At the turn of this new year, I find myself stepping through the crossroads of self-doubt and setting a new course toward fulfilling my destiny. Long have I believed I was capable of achieving great things, and long have the people around me championed that belief, urging and encouraging me to be all I can be. Finally, I have decided to listen to the voices—as within so without.

As a new year dawns, I reflect on the passing one and realize that I‘ve been truly blessed. Like is probably the case for countless others, 2017 was a rollercoaster year for me as I had highlights and lowlights, trials and triumphs, in both my personal and professional life. Ultimately, per my philosophy of growing into success by learning from one’s failures, I must say I really put my actions where my words were in 2017, a trend I intend to continue in 2018.

The truth is, in 2017 I made mistakes, experienced my fair share of disappointments, and saw some relationships and partnerships come to an untimely and unflattering end. However, as is the ying and yang of this thing called life, I also made progress in many areas, matured as a person and a professional, and gained new relationships and partners. So, on this first day of 2018, I have no regrets about anything I went though. Instead, I feel amazing, empowered, and more excited than ever before.

Having just launched myself into the spotlight so to speak via my personal brand as a public figure and (lifestyle) influencer, I’m finally ready to leave the threshold of average and become extraordinary. I’m ready to see my potential maximized so that I can better answer my calling to inspire others to do the same in their lives. I do this primarily for myself, and I’ve learned that that’s okay. That said, I recognize that because I don’t exist in a vacuum and, per the laws of six degrees of separation, invariably, my self-interests to achieve greatness will yield selfless results that will greatly benefit those who walk with me.

Honestly, this year, I have no lofty New Year’s resolution to share with you; I simply wish to invite you to journey with me as I challenge myself daily to grow into the good man and professional change agent I see myself becoming. I invite you to witness the goals I have set for myself to champion the cause of visionaries and their innovative businesses, to help their enterprises fulfill their missions by providing them access to the resources they need.

As we all know, a lot can happen in a year, but no one knows what the future holds. So, the only promise I can and will make to my followers is this—in 2018, I will give my best to all with whom I have the pleasure of working, and I humbly ask you to do the same. In this first month of January, be on the lookout for some major branding initiatives coming from me, including an upcoming logo reveal on my social media pages and an official website that will give you detailed information about me, my mission, and my endeavors.

To journey along with me throughout 2018 and hopefully beyond, I kindly invite you to follow me on my social media accounts below:

Brooks, I just saw this....What an awesome message!!! It’s with great pride, as your Mom, I’ve watched you develop from a baby, into a young boy, and now into a responsible young man as you transition from each stage and experience in life. Even though I wish you were still five years old, so I could intervene or help; I realize you have and will continue to learn how to deal with success and failure along your path. I know you have the determination, aspirations, drive and uniqueness to accomplish whatever you want in life. Always remember, I am so proud of you and I love you with all of my heart!!!
