Transatlantic Triumph: TMD-backed boat approaches the finish line!

Almost Home: TMD-Backed Boat Approaches the Finish Line

After weeks of non-stop rowing, a TMD-sponsored ocean rowing crew are about to complete their gruelling 3,000 mile ocean crossing.

Hailing from Christchurch, Ebb & Flow is one of just 40 crews competing in this year’s World’s Toughest Row competition.?It was 11th December 2024 when the three rowers set sail from La Gomera in the Canaries. They now have just over 100 nautical miles left before they cross the finish line at English Harbour in Antigua.

“These guys have been out on the water for a gruelling 8 weeks. They spent Christmas Day and New Year’s Day in the middle of the ocean. They’ve battled through brutal seas, wild weather, physical and mental exhaustion … and they’ve done it all for charity,” said James Taylor, MD of Taylor Made Designs.

Ebb & Flow’s transatlantic row is raising funds for four charities: Teenage Cancer Trust, Blesma, Ellen McArthur Cancer Trust and Oarsome Chance.

“Taylor Made Designs were delighted to sponsor Ebb & Flow's attempt. More than 90% of the crossing is behind them – the boat’s almost at the finish line, but they still have big challenges ahead. As they get closer to Antigua, humidity and air temperatures increase. We’re spurring them on from the comfort of our Christchurch HQ. I can’t wait to hear all about their adventure.”

Bespoke Uniforms for Haven's In-House Entertainments Team

In-house entertainments roles at Haven Holidays are all very active and guest-facing. When Haven came to us looking for bespoke uniform that would stand up to the demands of this hard-working team, we were delighted to help.

Working closely with Haven Holidays, we hand-picked fabrics that offered the durability, 'stretch' and brand colours that Haven required. Garments were designed and manufactured by TMD's talented experts to match Haven's precise brand requirements.

We then put a sample range through an extensive testing trial. We made sure that the finished product not only looks great and is on brand, but is super durable and comfortable.

To top it off, we also integrated Haven's back office systems with our own ERP software so that the client can reorder branded garments at a moment's notice.
