Transactional data converges with Analytics
The Forrester Wave?: Translytical Data Platforms, Q4 2017

Transactional data converges with Analytics

The convergence of transactional with analytical capabilities has always been a vision for analysts and businesses trying to understand and manage their performance.  Vendors have been promising analytics at the speed of thought and near real time capabilities for many years, but now, with recent advances in technology - primarily the increase in compute power that has enabled in memory database platforms, it is finally here and accessible to businesses without a huge budget.

Forrester's Translytical Data Platforms report highlights the vendors and, in a concise and easy to read format, the important features of the platforms that are enabling this today. With SAP HANA, SAP have achieved fantastic ratings from Forrester for their platform offering including 8 perfect scores from 10 categories of analysis.

There is a huge value to business in a Translytic platform, not least the simplification in both physical and data architectures which can deliver analytic and EPM applications, including those in Opal Wave's BPC Cloud, powered by SAP HANA and SAP BPC.
