The strength of a nation rests with the young and energetic work force i.e. the people of the country. Developing the human resources and making them able to produce the useful output is a duty of the leaders of the country. Making financial wealth shall be objective of a country and a social security given to the people of the country. In our country, only 2% of the total working population is skilled work force.
Government of India has taken steps to compete the world and becoming the developed country, promoting cooperation between Academia and Industry. However, only marginal success has been achieved, possibly because the universities and the industrial units have not been under any pressure to interact. In India, Industry-University partnership has been keeping low ebb over the decades.
University Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education are competent bodies to make strategies for imparting education in modern India. After opening the doors for the overseas financial investor to India, the demand of the qualified resources drastically increased. Corporate are making alliances with the education bodies to cater the business needs.
Government of India has established a new ministry for the STARTUP INDIA program. This is the largest training program for youth. The objective is to train the youth for various job roles, equipping them with the management functional competencies for building a team of successful entrepreneurs, who can effectively participate in the nation growth.
