Is it a Training Program with a 100% Job Guarantee?

Is it a Training Program with a 100% Job Guarantee?

Perhaps the most common and prevalent question we hear on a daily basis from students and professionals alike who want to begin, improve, or reposition their careers, regardless of technology choice

Is it a 100% Job Guaranteed Program or an Assured Program? The crucial question revolving the discussions in counselling sessions is not asked once, but at least three to four times in a single conversation. Even after 17 years in edtech, I really don't grasp the difference. Yes, it is the same to me.

Despite holding a degree in engineering or any other field, the students seem to be plagued by feelings of nervousness and poor self-confidence, Why? Above all, why is there a mass mindset from students expecting someone else to be accountable for their career break or breakthrough? Let's go to basics.

What is the source of such trepidation, despite the Data presented on placement drives with dates, Placed students information, 1000's of enrolments annually, visibly seeing the huge pool of in-house technical mentors in the Embedded Systems and IoT sector (Highest in edtech), and of course the legitimacy of the organization's 17 Years existence. Despite all of the information provided up front, there is a clear air of scepticism during their first approach.

Rather than giving a clear answer and passing judgement, let us examine the mindset that leads to the question. I believe there are two sides to this coin that need to be considered in order to answer this question.

  • From the Student's / Learner's point of view
  • External view; Let's say from the perspective of a training organisation.

How does the Student see it?

The lack of trust factor established in the market and the outlook towards educational institutions because of their previous experience are crucial perspectives and truths to consider; after all, 'Seeing is Believing'. After spending four years of their prime lives studying, passing 40 to 50 papers, and earning a bachelor's degree in engineering (electronics, electrical, computer science, etc. ), the experience would have left the students with an equivocal and uncertain picture.

Furthermore, an important?aspect contributing to the stress of being unemployed is a lack of conviction in our ability to make it, having a significant academic score in Bachelors or Masters in Engineering. From the student's standpoint, the frustration is understandable.

Looking out for a mentor to upgrade your own skills and looking out for support for getting acquainted to get interview opportunities is fine and well understood. Because of the uneven opportunity window that affects a large segment of our society, asking for help is perfectly acceptable, and providing that help is both simple and human. This is exactly what Emertxe does on an?organisational level, but on a broader scale.

Nonetheless, this does not give us the right to develop an attitude of 'completely relying on someone else' or to bear responsibility for your career break or breakthrough. We must realise that it doesn't work that way at all; in fact, we are deceiving ourselves under the shadow of our own insecurity.

So who is to blame for such a widespread disposition of fears and lack of confidence?

Let us focus on the resolution mode instead of blaming the formal education system we went through. Regardless of the current state of academia, it is critical to accept the present, learn from the past, and be prepared to change your future.

Be laser-focused on achieving a Guaranteed and Sustainable Career in something you enjoy and are passionate about, such as Embedded Systems or the Internet of Things, or anything else for that matter.

If you ask me if there is a clear and foreseeable plan in place to accomplish a guaranteed job outcome? Yes, it is entirely feasible. Because the market is filled with possibilities, and those opportunities are waiting for someone with the right skills to seize them, and this will continue for some time.

Continue to ask important questions regarding your career as a student to gain more clarity - Is it just any job that I need, or am I looking to establish a career in core areas that you are enthusiastic about and that are relevant to my academics?

Our advice to all young graduates who have completed their academics is to never lose faith in themselves, regardless of the outcome. You are young and full of energy, and have a long life ahead of you, with a world of possibilities. Don't stress yourselves about being in an unknown zone and contemplating an uncertain future.

This is a transient zone that practically everyone has passed through; for some, it may be for a short time, while for others, it may be for a longer time. Apparently, once you utilise the chance that sits in front of you in the shape of a Hands-on learning experience and skills you will create, which is the only significant thing to focus on, you will see the rewards of your labour without a doubt.

The scope of the options available at Emertxe today is incredible, with over 50 placement drives taking place each month. Take advantage of the numerous highly technical mentors and subject matter experts and focus on building your skills in in core technologies such as Embedded Systems, IoT or anything else that interests you or that you are passionate about. Spend time enjoying the learning process, laying the groundwork, bolstering your foundational skills and then focus on the core areas.

We must invest time to skill up, take the support of proper mentors and work on the relevant content expected by the Industry today. We must understand this well, and the investment is worth your lifetime.

Well, objectively answering THE QUESTION once again - Is it a 100% Job Guaranteed Program? Yes it is :-)

I still remember the days when I asked same question to Maaz Jukaku. Thanks for all the words and guidance. I think it's the common question for any fresher, lot of stuff thriving in his mind. After spending 5 years in industry, bridge course can really help to fill the gap between student view and industry pov.
