Training Our Communities for Preparedness: Civilian Response Casualty Care (CRCC)

NCJA Edneyville

Just completed the new #ALERRT T3 Civilian Response Casualty Care (CRCC) course delivery hosted by our fine neighbors from the NC Department of Justice in Edneyville, NC (many thanks Floyd, I appreciate your hospitality; your team runs a first class operation my friend.)

Very grateful to be a part of the recently expanded CRASE/CRCC program, there is much good work to do throughout #Virginia and Liberty University creating a mindset of preparedness and influencing lives (excellent T3 instruction Matt & Rafael, keep up the great work brothers.)

Active attacks continue to be a part of our lives in the U.S., those civilians who are present during these incident are known as #ImmediateResponders. The CRCC instruction is designed to #empower civilians to make informed decisions under stress…building greater personal #resiliency and the ability to mitigate the threat.

Liberty University Emergency Preparedness promotes the Whole Community Approach, the means by which our stakeholders can collectively understand and assess the needs of their safety and determine the best ways to organize and strengthen their resiliency during an emergency situation.

The Whole Community Approach to emergency response/recovery reinforces the fact that public safety responders are only one part of the nation’s emergency management team, civilians are now an integral part of that incident matrix...whether you are on a school campus, business/commerce, vacation, etc., please make an investment in your personal safety and others, by self-educating in your options as an Immediate Responder, along with learning proper bleeding control techniques.

Thanks for your validation Dr. Kotalgi...during our classes, we stress the benefit of this skill set in dealing with other hemorrhage issues as you pointed out, it's not just an active attack need.
