The Beverage Managers meeting at Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery in Ayr, Ontario

Training and inspiring teams right from the source

The Charcoal Group would like to thank our incredible beverage partner Willibald Farm for hosting our Beverage Managers Meeting this week.

“We exist within a large ecosystem of producers - farms, butchers, malt houses, hop farms, distilleries, breweries and taprooms filled with passionate people all working toward one common goal – good food & drink. We take that responsibility very seriously, and plan for offsite meetings with people like the fine folks over at Willibald so that we can continue to train and inspire our teams right from the source.” – Jen Tamse, Director, Beer & Beverage

Our teams are the heart of our business and their contributions are invaluable. The Beverage Managers are no exception as they play an integral role in the management of our beverage programs.

Jen Tamse, Director, Beer & Beverage for the Charcoal Group heads-up the meeting

"Bringing our department managers together is important to the Charcoal Group culture. Whether it is Beverage Managers, Service Managers, Chefs or General Managers, it provides a space for learning, inspiring, sharing best practices, and most importantly developing supportive peer connections within our own walls." - Megan Stover, Director, People & Culture

“Coming together as a team creates a sense of belonging and perspective. That is, we are a part of something that is even bigger than each restaurant.” – Jen Tamse, Director, Beer & Beverage

(L-R): Jen Herzog, Kyle Campbell, Kendra Sauder, Lianne MacLeod, Paige Charbonneau, Haley Mawby, Jen Tamse, Lauren Overholt, Sloane Taylor, Corey Patey, Jordan Barsuk, Chris Stoneburg, Leslie Pidberezny, John Mackay, KJ Santiago

So as our Beverage team met, discussed, planned, ate and embarked on a tour of the distillery (complete with delightful tastings), we raise a glass to our teams, our leaders, and our suppliers—each of whom contributes to The Charcoal Group's commitment to innovation, allowing us to continually push boundaries in delivering outstanding craft beer, wine, and spirits!

Cheers!
