Training, development, success!
There are so many things that are in a state of transition in our environment. The changes in our economy, the workforce, the cost of doing business and so much more.
No matter how much we think that things have changed, I genuinely believe that the energy that we create by the words we utter becomes the catalyst for either change or stagnation. In finding a compromise we work towards being a part of the solution, and not the problem.
After 22 years in the staffing-HR industry I think back to a moment when September 11 happened, and everything stopped in our country. What we did at the company I worked with at the time AppleOne, was to create programs for clients to continue to keep America working. Pricing structures, tried to make it easier to hire staff from us.??
As I sit writing this note, I cannot help but think that we need to try and create that same environment of a nation working together to solve the situation.
Agencies and employers have the options of hiring a person that meets 100 percent of the extensive list of requirements to fill a position. How about finding persons that are willing to go in as an apprentice and get on the job training for a new position.?For the applicant the key to this is training and working hard to learn about what makes America a wonderful place to grow and live a happy productive life. ?Take time to learn.
There are so many thoughts as to how to proceed and overcome the hardships that so many are going through.

I go back to the thought of training and development. Crucial factor in trying to overcome the shortages in the workforce. While persons are waiting to become eligible to work in the US, why not get started in some type of training to be assimilated into the workforce.
I have so many open positions, and the hope is that soon things will get easier and that we work as a community to make the needed changes.
