Trainee Freight Forwarder

Do you have a basic understanding and working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry? Perhaps you have had some exposure to Imports / exports or indeed another area within logistics and looking to secure a role within a Freight Forwarder where they will be able to provide the necessary training / upskilling?

A worldwide multi-modal logistics company are looking to recruit an individual to join there busy Central Southampton office. Walking distance from Southampton Central station, you will be joining a well-established organisation who have several offices across the UK, US and Asia / Far East.

This company are predominantly Sea Freight but as already mentioned do also cover all modes of transport. 

With your training you will become a competent Freight Forwarder dealing with shipments from start to finish. You will be happy picking up the phone and building relationships with customers. This is certainly not a role for someone happy to sit behind a keyboard all day!

The Southampton office has circa 18 staff and expanding. In terms of progression it is a blank canvass and down to you to demonstrate the value you bring to the company and ensure progression is yours.

Salary: ￡20-23K subject to experience

Working hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
