Train-to-Hire in the Era of AI

Train-to-Hire in the Era of AI

I recently had the honor of sitting down with Broadreach Media, Inc. (NewsWatch Plus) to share my vision for how my company, Xccelerate , can help dramatically close the massive global skills gap.

As a mission-driven founder and CEO, I am laser-focused on the micro - heads down on product, technology, and execution.

However, preparing for the CNN interview helped me to think more macro about the seismic trends shaping the rapidly evolving future of work and the daunting challenges individuals face in keeping their skills relevant.

In today's rapidly transforming landscape, the conversation around global workforce dynamics is gaining traction. Companies are embracing a more fluid talent ecosystem, where professionals collaborate on projects from various corners of the world. This shift aligns perfectly with Xccelerate's mission, which is to equip individuals with the skills they need to thrive in this global work environment.

The CNN interview helped me step back and share my and Xccelerate’s vision to help close the skills gap through our innovative, cutting-edge training programs targeted to in-demand and exploding fields like AI, cybersecurity, and blockchain.

I couldn’t have had such a meaningful discussion without Rico Hizon from CNN. His thoughtful, probing questions helped me elaborate on the urgent global need for reskilling and upskilling, especially in rapidly evolving, lightning-fast fields like artificial intelligence.

As we explore the realm of global collaboration, it becomes apparent that a workforce that is agile and well-prepared will seize the opportunities that arise. Just like some companies are already starting to recognize footing global payrolls and facilitating cryptocurrency payments, Xccelerate also recognizes the necessity of offering training that transcends borders and equips individuals with the skills to navigate the ever-changing world of work.

I explained how our programs systematically reverse engineer competencies from real jobs, then help people rapidly develop exactly the right combination of hard and soft skills vitally needed to succeed.

Rico also asked about our plans for the Philippines. I was super excited to share Xccelerate is starting operations there and already have a team of 15 people, with plans to dramatically upskill thousands over the next few years. We are honored to share our tremendous excitement about the country’s talented, English-speaking workforce poised to take advantage of new opportunities with the right training.

By enabling companies to embrace talent from diverse corners of the world, Xccelerate is ready to empower the workforce of tomorrow, transcending geographical boundaries and helping individuals seize opportunities wherever they may arise.

This was just one of the broad topics we discussed during the interview, and the entire experience was electrifying and equally refreshing as I took a step back to talk about the big picture.

It’s so vital as a mission-driven founder and entrepreneur to zoom out from the day-to-day and ensure you’re playing the right game - spotting the macro trends, acting decisively to capitalize on them, and communicating your ambitious vision with energy.

I’m thankful to CNN for the incredible opportunity. It was an absolute honor to speak with Rico Hizon, a senior anchor and director for news content development at CNN Philippines. I mentioned it already, and I will say it again that his piercing and perceptive questions helped us dive deep into the future of work, and it was an absolute pleasure exchanging thoughts and words with him.
