As we embark on another Hispanic Heritage Month, we are granted a unique opportunity to celebrate and pay tribute to the remarkable Latinas who have left an indelible mark on society and pioneered significant "firsts" in U.S. history. At Hispanas Organized for Political Equality? (HOPE), we take immense pride in highlighting the extraordinary journeys of outstanding women year-round, and this Latine Heritage Month, we are elevating these inspiring #LatinaFirsts that shape community and culture. As part of our celebration, we'll publish a series of articles highlighting these inspiring Latina Firsts. Primero, Latinas who are blazing trails in the Arts and Sciences.
