There’s a lot that goes into leading and developing a team. And, honestly, I had a full-on AHA moment the other day when my toddler did something I didn’t like and I realized they were really just mimicking what they have seen me do in certain situations. It was a moment where I realized that there was so much similarity in some issues I was having with my toddler and some issues I have experienced with my team. My work life and home life seemed to mirror each other and I couldn’t wait to share it with you all.?
To be clear, I’m not equating your hardworking team with toddlers, but I’ve found that some of the leadership insights I’ve gained while navigating the chaos of parenting my two little ones have a surprising amount in common with managing a team.
