[Traffic Method] Facebook Ads Hack

[Traffic Method] Facebook Ads Hack

Looking back over the last few years, one of our best Facebook ads has been an image, that looped as a video.?

Basically, we took our best static image ad and put it as an image with some music and looped it.

This increased engagement because of Thruplay views, and the end-user most of the time didn't even know it was a video looping.

These types of ads crushed for us and still are.

Here's the process:

  1. Duplicate an image in whatever design app you have using the same static image ad that's performing. (Canva works)
  2. Grab an audio file on audiojungle.com or it can be silent
  3. Record a video over that image for 20-30 secs and export it. (You can use ScreenFlow or the built-in mac QuickTime on Mac, or Camtasia on windows or even Canva)
  4. Upload the static video ad to Facebook and run it as a video ad.

The other aspect of this is that Facebook loves video and it's competing with Youtube for video viewers so it will give it more juice just for the fact that it's a video.

Plus Facebook is now penalizing long-form video ads — which makes this even better as you can shorten them up and then hit the person multiple times nonstop for the same time allotment.

I like this approach because it removes all of the hassle and complexity of creating video ads for most...which are usually $250-$500 to have someone decent write the ad, and then more to create a video out of it and then test it.

Bonus: This can be done with Youtube ads, LinkedIn ads, and GDN ads as well.

What’s the quality of leads like? Or is this more to test angles before doubling down on a creative?
