Traffic Jam
“The world is saturated with options , plenty of them, there seems to be no new idea, everything is already there , ?thought of by someone and implemented very well….”
This is a partial playback of my inner voice sometimes when I want to start something new . There are so many of them out there doing the same , you are just getting started , what are the possibilities of making a head way when there is already a traffic jam out there ?
If you have had thoughts like mine – terrified by traffic jam and not setting on a journey , then its time to rethink the idea of traffic jam and reframe that experience, like I choose to do everyday.
When stuck in the thick of the traffic jam , I know every cell in our body is screaming to move, mind is busy questioning the route you choose to take , heart feeling disappointed and unhopeful …. These are the common syndromes of traffic jammed body , mind and heart .
Yes traffic jam means there is a lot of players out there, all trying competitively hard to get ahead. Traffic jam also means there is a road ahead and the lane will clear with time , there will be movement and if one is aware and agile we will learn on the go and get ahead further in our journey. Its not easy to believe when feeling stuck and seeing some of them making head ways in the long end of traffic chain . As the movement starts slowly now the mind asks - “What if when I arrive it is too late “ – the question arises creating a deep scarcity scare and scar.
That’s exactly when we want to quit and become a passive traveler , but that’s when we should remind ourselves that – “One cannot stay stagnated when the movement starts”. Everyone moves, so do we , don’t worry about the ones ahead ,because its never about where everyone is going , at what pace?, with who they are going and even why they are going ? . ?Its always about our own journey not in comparison with others , but with affirmation and clarity.
Bring down the window glasses , let the air come in , play that music ?- keep the inner journey on , when the outer jam clears the dissonance between the outer and the inner disappears. Movement is yours.

1 年Staying jammed in a car, like there is no way out, can be frustrating. Staying on a crossroad of options can be overwhelming. Sometimes walking the same path can be the best option, if being accompanied by a fresh perspective of others. Everyone is different through their past experiences. Seeing the same path through a novel pair of eyes can open up opportunities. The journey may become completely different. Recently, I have streamed mini-serie called “Arnold” (We all know him, do we?) At the end, he states, “I have lived three diverse lives. I have achieved it, not as a self-made man, but being surrounded by others”. Maybe it is the same in the traffic jam? It does not matter for how long we stay there, but rather who sits next to us…

1 年Really like the analogy! Quite at the center yet ignored. I had a good self reflection. Thanks ????
