TRADITIONS AND TRIALS
The Ranger Battalion marching in the St Paddy's Day parade has been a tradition since our creation in 1974. It is a highly casual, eccentric event that draws thousands as we march down the center of town. Anything can happen and does.
Shortly before this foto was taken, a nude girl with glowing red lipstick on roller skates came shooting out of the street ahead and went squarely for me with a kiss. I looked straight ahead and never lost a step.
Later, the CSM, Dave Dalton said I had a half smile. I don't recall............

18 小时前I like these uniforms so much better than the ones they have now. I know starching was painful, but the Rangers were the ones that stood out, proudly, as the best of the best, no wrinkles, but spit-shined and starched. Truly the best all-around in uniform and combat- always at the "Ready."
