The Traditions Of Men

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." - Colossians 2:8
That which many celebrate today have been passed down from generation to generation. They have since evolved into doctrine believed to have divine authority but not written in the Holy Bible. It is not recorded in the Torah or the Koran. These have an oral history but not recorded history.
As a child I participated in these man-made traditions passed down from my parents. Now I am a Bible Christian who believe all what God had the Prophets record in the Holy Bible. Moses, Paul and Jesus read the Bible in the synagogue on the Sabbath day. They didn't verbalize their thoughts or opinions as others do in churches today. They read the word of God as written. Can you read what you believe?
"Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not?" - Isaiah 55:2
Those who promote these man-made events are money makers. They generate billions of dollars every year. Easter 20.8 billion expected to increase to 22.4 billion this year. Halloween 10.6 billion and Christmas 936.3 billion. Even Valentine Day generated 25.8 billion which has nothing to do with Jesus. It's amazing how much money is spent on these man-made traditions that does not spiritually profit them. It's a waste of time especially when people believe it is ordained by God.
"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition." Mark 7:9
Can you read what you believe? Do you depend on other people to tell you what thus said the Lord or do you read the Holy Bible for yourself? There is an old saying "if you want to hide information just put it in a book". We know NOT because we read NOT.
"But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" - Matthew 15:3
