Traditional Partner Portals Begin To Fade Away
We just had an interesting call with a company in the similar space to us. They are in the PRM space and were curious as to what Channelyze.io does.
The explanation was enough for them to tell us that they also believe that traditional partner portals will be dead in the next 3 years.
We give it a little bit longer than that. We are on the same lines of thinking but we give it 5 years!
It will be 5 years until Channelyze can spread far enough to make that shift in mindset.
5 years until the larger vendors move away from their silo'd approach to partner management and start on the ecosystem model.
The models have been there for the last who know how many years, but the technology just hasn't caught up.

The model has been wrong for years. The silo'd approach is not good for anyone in the community. For an ecosystem to thrive, it needs to have lots of moving parts that are connected together in either a loose connection or firm connection.
At the end of the day, everything is connected to everything eventually.
