Trading Snow Boots for Cowboy Boots

Team Van Buskirk is on the move again! It’s time to pack the boxes here in New Jersey and head to Dallas, Texas for our next family adventure. In my new role at AT&T, I have the great honor of leading our Operations team for all of our AT&T Mobility and Entertainment Sales and Customer Service channels. Here comes relocation number 4 with the kids (#12 or more for my husband and I... we’ve lost count). Have I mentioned how amazing my family is? They are! And, I’m so thankful that we share the same adventurous spirit – excited for what comes next in our lives together.

While it’s exciting to take on new opportunities and continue to learn and grow, it’s always difficult to let go. The people that we meet and spend time with everyday enrich our lives in meaningful ways. My family will dearly miss the close friendships we’ve made through work, school, baseball, all-star cheerleading and within our community. Thankfully, with social media it’s easier to stay in touch wherever we go.

I am immensely proud of my talented East Region team. Together, we built a strong culture of collaboration, innovation and teamwork to help us grow and win together. And, we delivered strong retail results – #1 in the company two years in a row! It has been an incredible honor for me to serve as the leader of this team and I will miss all the amazing people as I transition to my new role. You inspire me every day. 

But, as each chapter ends, a new one begins. I am eager for the opportunity to get to know all the talented individuals on my new Operations team. I am excited join another high-performing team and make a meaningful impact on the business.   

Embracing change and new adventures are part of my family foundation – and echo my leadership style at work. I strongly believe that we accelerate professional and personal development - and fuel creativity and innovation - when we immerse ourselves in new experiences. While the actual relocation process is always a bit stressful, the end result is always rewarding. 

So, wherever your boots take you on your next adventure…remember to lean-in and bring it on.
