Trade in the Zone - 23rd April 2023 Edition

Welcome back to Trade in the Zone, the Weekly newsletter from Key Zone Traders, providing?our members with insights into the markets for the upcoming week and adding more value to your trading.

We have had a break for a couple of weeks, but in the last edition, we looked at GBPUSD which was approaching the key resistance at 1.2375-1.2475. Whilst we have seen some price action above here, we haven't seen full acceptance above here yet, so this can still act as resistance and the analysis still stands

Crypto Watch

Bitcoin is reacting from the?29600-31420?zone we have been speaking about during this recent move up.

I would expect a retest of the?24200-25600?area, and the reaction here could be telling as to whether Bitcoin continues higher above the?29600-31420?zone or if there is still potentially another leg lower.

Market in Spotlight

Since we have had a break for a while, I feel it would be a good idea to take a look at the Equity markets again and as always our bell weather for this is the SP 500

We have developed a bit of a range between?4130-4185?and?3775-3825. We are currently trading at the top of this range. Acceptance above the?4130-4185?zone can see moves to the next upside target at?4280-4330.

If we hold it as resistance then we can continue within the range

The Week Ahead

A relatively quiet news week this week, with no major news announcements, however, there are still some high impact news that we need to be aware of.

On Tuesday we have USD news and overnight we will have AUD CPI - so we need to be well managed ahead of these.

Thursday and Friday we also ha USD news out to watch for at 13.30 pm
