2.?????Become an Importer: This is the mirror opposite for exports where you position yourself as the "importer"/buyer of brands and products coming into your market. There are tremendous opportunities in this space since most exporters may not be ready to build footprint in regions, that they are not fully familiar with. Local players and businesses can take on such partnership and distributorship responsibilities to drive their expansion. You can also become a Sales Agent for brands and businesses looking to come into your market.

3.?????Become a Trade Facilitator: You are not the buyer and you are not the seller - so what are you? When you are in a deal signing room, you will usually find many more people other than those with actual signatory responsibility. Every one of those people who play some form of role that helps drive the deal forward are those I call "Trade Facilitators" - without them nothing truly ever happens. They are the Trade financing institutions, international trade lawyers and Researchers and Analysts that conduct the "Due diligence" etc. They play a unique role and they are often paid for services rendered in securing closure of deals. 4.?????Become a Service Provider: Moving products from point A to point B requires touch points along the value chain managed and controlled by many Service Providers. They are the logistics companies including Freight forwarders, 3PLs companies, Customs Agents, Brokers, Distributors, Marketers, PR Agencies all providing services to trade and investment stakeholders. The Trade with Africa Network is the platform we host the B2B and B2G stakeholders and it helps facilitate connections and conversations with them. As long as you are not in proximity with your stakeholders you will continue to struggle.
5.?????Consultant, Educator, Adviser, Analyst etc.: There is an increased demand for experts in the field. Everyone who wishes to participate will also need to "level up" their performance along the entire value chain and you can become a trainer, coach and help teach others in your field.
