The Tractor

Back in 1967, my Dad Patrick Phibbs (R.I.P), bought this tractor, and the funny part of the story is that he left a family wedding early to collect his new purchase. The tractor was already circa ten years old when it came to our family in Bohernabreena. Over the last 50 years this great McCormack International Tractor has helped bring turf from the Dublin Mountains, plough fields and did all the work a farmer could asked of it. It finally stopped working in 2014 and was retired to the farming scrap yard in a lost field.

                        Our Dad sadly passed away this year on March 14th 2017, but he always wished that we would restore The Tractor someday to its former glory. My two brothers, George, Pat and myself pooled our finances and the guys in my brother’s motor garage (Bohernabreena Motors) took on the restoration project work this year and today we gladly celebrate as a family their amazing work.
