TR-328 – defining the virtual business gateway

A new international standard for the virtual business gateway has been defined by the Broadband Forum, an organization of leading service providers and vendors. The virtual business GW work has been pushed by BT, KPN, Century Link, RAD, Juniper, Nokia, and others. The emerging standard is part of the Cloud Central Office (CloudCO) project, which defines the entire broadband cloud environment. The Broadband Forum is now pursuing collaboration with ONAP (open network automation platform) in an effort to define SD-WAN application for the vBG.
