TQI QuickBits: Quantum Collaborations, No Partite Like a Multipartite... And More Quantum News!

For quantum to move from lab to use cases to Main Street and Wall Street, we'll need academic-government-commercial collaborations.

This week, as you can read below, we've seen a bunch of examples that these partnerships aren't just forming, they're thriving. And they're often delivering surprising benefits.

IonQ, in collaboration with one of America's quantum research leaders, the University of Maryland, has opened QLab. That should pour even more innovative fuel on that already hot quantum community.

Other collabs this week? Terra Quantum and Honda Research are working on using quantum to improve disaster evacuations. Rigetti and the U.S. Air Force sign a contract that could help Air Force researchers create quantum systems on the fly.

Speaking of moving from lab to market, as the quantum industry becomes an actual industry, participants will need a solid marketing strategy.

TQI has developed a detailed and practical digital and content marketing guide for quantum technology companies, providing you with the steps needed to establish effective and tailored communication with a full suite of marketing options.

美国纽约大学 and Qunnect announced the successful test of a 10-mile quantum networking link?-- this is a significant advance on the way toward technologies, such as the quantum internet.

“This test represents the next step in building a quantum network that engages clients in critical industries that need to future-proof their security. In demonstrating sustained delivery of high-quality entangled qubits over 10 miles of real fiber, we have validated GothamQ as the country’s first commercial metropolitan network supporting entanglement distribution networking protocols with hardware that is ready to be deployed today.” -- Noel Goddard, CEO of Qunnect.

Congrats to ConScience AB! The Gothenburg based company delivered its first quantum technology components to a US based quantum computing company.

“Quantum device manufacturing is very complex, and we have been pushing ourselves and spent a large amount of time in the cleanroom to achieve the stringent requirements in terms of performance variations set out by our client.” -- Joachim Fritzsche, CEO of ConScience.

Quantum Research -- Multipartite Entanglement

Scientists believe ultracold atoms in optical lattices may offer several advantages as an approach to quantum computing, including the modality's excellent coherence properties, the highly parallel operations over spins, and the ultralow entropy achieved in qubit arrays. The challenge, though, is scaling up multipartite entanglement. A team of scientists now say they've demonstrated a way to manage that challenge.
