Making Quantum Technology accessible through media, news, insights and data
A lot of things happening in quantum this week!
Big news from Europe where Redstone announced it is putting together a fund that will focus on quantum technologies. QAI Ventures is a close partner in the fund launch.
Europe leads the pack in building these quantum-focus funds and initiatives. And QAI Ventures' name is coming up again and again as an important partner in establishing and launching these initiatives and building these ecosystems.
Beyond quantum business...
I often get caught up in the -- what's become routine -- advances of practical quantum computing that I lose sight of the potential for quantum technology could change how we see our world in unforeseen ways -- the unknown unknowns of quantum science. But I was jolted from that by news from the Quantinuum -led scientific team's report that they are using that company's quantum computer to explore superconductivity. Furthermore, because nature is quantum (dammit), these efforts may lead us to the ultimate use case, beyond how to build better levitating trains, or, make sure our parcels and packages are delivered on time, or, balance our stock portfolios, or any of the other use cases for quantum. As important as they are, they may pale in comparison to the lifting of the veil on the inner-mechanics of reality.
Well. Now that I've waxed poetically enough. Let's get onto the news.
TQI has developed a detailed and practical digital and content marketing guide for quantum technology companies, providing you with the steps needed to establish effective and tailored communication with a full suite of marketing options.

Quantum Quotes
ParTec AG is joining the quantum community with an announcement that the company is positioning itself as a complete integrator of quantum computers.
“Today’s solutions for quantum computers are monolithic designs, mostly developed by qubit technology developers. This approach carries substantial risks for customers, in particular in terms of being tied to a specific provider and technology in a market that still is very volatile with respect to players and technologies. ParTec adopts a different, fresh and innovative approach that will lead to a strong market position.” -- Bernhard Frohwitter, CEO of ParTec AG
A team of scientists from Quantinuum, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the University of Maryland report progress in unraveling superconductivity. And it's a big step for quantum computing. The technology will be used not just to make quantum mouse traps, but to probe nature's deepest secrets, once veiled in computational complexity.
“Nobel Laureate Herbert Kroemer famously coined what is now known as ‘Kroemer’s theorem’ which, in summary, states that the major applications and uses of a technology are those that are created by that technology itself, and not simply those imagined to be better mousetraps than moustraps that already exist. The same will undoubtedly be true of quantum computers." -- Ilyas Khan, KSG , Chief Product Officer Quantinuum
Quantum Research -- Research That Resonates
Researchers have developed chip-based photonic resonators that function in the ultraviolet (UV) and visible light spectrum, achieving a record low UV light loss, which is fundamental in advancing the UV photonic integrated circuit (PIC) design.

Inside Look -- QAI Ventures
QAI Ventures says its vision is to "unite the world during the global Quantum revolution, where collaboration fuels advancements that transform daily life, reshape economies, and redefine society." The organization is embedded in the QuantumBasel ecosystem where its mission to to build a solid global Quantum community. Besides investments, QAI Ventures offers an accelerator program to support Quantum startups. QAI Ventures is one of the many groups covered in The Quantum Insider's Intelligence.
QuickBits
Quantum researchers and companies are busy applying quantum computers to important use cases and striving toward practical quantum computing — and there’s nothing wrong with that. But quantum computers may open up computational routes to the unknown unknowns, uses that have scarcely been imagined and ones that could pry the lid off of nature’s deepest mysteries. A team of scientists say they may have made a major advance in just that direction.
