Toyota Financial Services Internship
I had the opportunity of interning at Toyota Financial Services (TFS) this summer, and it was a productive and inspiring journey even though the internship was virtual due to COVID-19. As a TFS Information & Digital Systems intern, I was able to watch and learn what it is like to be a Salesforce Developer in a scrum team.
I spent most of my time as a Salesforce Developer, and I learned the APEX programming language and Salesforce development functionalities. After learning these concepts, I was given user stories on a regular basis to complete development and testing work, which taught me what it is like to be in a real-world development team. Whether it was developing with the new codebase or testing with debug logs, the work pushed me to be meticulous and hardworking.?
As I was learning these lessons, I was working in a scrum team, which required a good understanding of Agile principles and the scrum framework. Thanks to our business analysts, Product Owner, and team members, I was able to grasp how to work in a scrum team and use the Jira Software. I was even able to help create Issues in Jira every sprint.?
I have yet to see my colleagues in person, but I already feel connected to them. Thank you to my team and to TFS for allowing me to work with you all! I have nothing but gratitude for the TFS experience and work culture.?
