Toyota dominates LCV Segment in Malaysia

In Malaysia, Light Commercial Vehicle sales fell by 18.41% (-4,377 units) to 19,398 from Year to date May 2015 to Year to date May 2016. Light Commercial Vehicle sales rose by 10.98% (497 units) to 5,023 from May 2015 to May 2016.

Since Perodua is very hard to be beaten, Toyota want to claim the other title. King of Light Commercial Vehicles segment, and so far so good. This May, Toyota, maintain their position as  the best selling manufacturer with 2,601 units and 51.78% of the market, a 1.56% gain compared to May 2015.  Thanks to The Toyota Hilux, their strongest weapon in this segment, which grab title as  the best selling model with 2,216 units, a 2.40% increase on May 2015.

 For YTD May 2016, Toyota enjoy more than double margin from Ford, their strongest competitor so far. However they need aware that Isuzu, Nissan,  and Mitsubishi perform positive growth compare than YTD May 2015, while Toyota, Ford and the rest of Top 10 LCV Segment Leaderboard experiences decrease in term of unit sold.

It still more than halfway to come, however the battle of LCV Market in Malaysia most likely Toyota will grab title as The King of LCV Segment in Malaysia, before the competition is even near to end, since they show their dominance in this segment, just like Perodua for Car Segment.
