The toxic attachment I had to my business results...this is a vulnerable share!

I’ve had some major realisations lately about the attachment I’ve had to my business results.?

Often we can hold on to particular desires and attach those outcomes to our identity and success.

Throughout my recent travels, I’ve come to realise that I was doing this in a toxic way that wasn’t allowing for flow in my business.?

This is a vulnerable share, but I know that it will greatly serve you in your own life and business and give you permission to acknowledge and share your own truth.?

A ball of energy was weighing me down

Not knowing what it was, I had been carrying a heaviness like a ball of energy weighing me down.

Even though I’ve literally been living out my dream board life, something wasn’t right and I knew I had to let go of whatever was weighing me down.

Something significant happened on the New Moon in March

Down by the beautiful sea in Dubrovnik, I asked the ocean to take the heaviness from me. I made a declaration that I was DONE with that heavy feeling and said,

“let it purge from me, let it cleanse from me, take it back”

That night, I experienced a physical, energetic and spiritual purge which helped me release the heaviness I was carrying and let go of what was no longer serving me.?

I had an attachment to travel and the results in my business

I realised that I had an insane expectation that while I was travelling, my brand and my business would blow up and I would have more influence than ever.?

To be incredibly honest, I thought things would unfold very differently to the way they did.

The reality is, I experienced a dip in cash flow that I haven’t experienced in a long time and there were a lot of frustrations and relationship challenges that I didn’t anticipate.?

I was trying to recreate the magic of the past

Before the pandemic, I was living my best life as a digital nomad, travelling the world with my family.?

But that trip got cut short.?

The whole time I was in Australia, my heart was restless to get back out there and have the experiences I was meant to be having.

Now, having finally made it happen, I see that I was trying to recreate the magic of the past but I’m just not in that place anymore.

The digital nomadic itch has well and truly been scratched and my heart desires to be much more home based now.?

It’s okay for dreams to shift and change

Life is a journey. We are always growing and changing and it’s okay if your dreams and goals have shifted too.?

It’s about being in touch with your energy around your desires and being honest with yourself enough to recognise the motivations behind your desires.?

There will always be cycles in business, which is why we must lean into the ebb and flow and glean wisdom from whatever season we are in.?

Sometimes, it’s about going back to basics.?

Give yourself permission??

I didn’t expect to feel this way at the end of my travels, but I’m giving myself permission to let go, move on and embrace what is new.?
