The Towson Tigers Show Heart and Determination in a Tough Loss to Delaware
Delaware defeated Towson 84-78 last night in a hard fought CAA contest. The Blue Hens were led by Nate Darling's 34 points while Towson was led by Allen Betrand's 23 points. Delaware thought they had the game in the bag on many occasions but Towson kept fighting back until time eventually expired. Both teams are dark horses to win what may be the best CAA Conference Tournament in years. The Tournament will be held from Saturday 3/7 to Tuesday 3/10 in the new Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, DC. With the exception of UNC Wilmington and James Madison, who are both having down seasons, the Conference Tournament is wide open. Who will meet in the CAA Conference Tournament Championship Game? Your guess is as good as mine. I wouldn't be surprised if Towson is one of the teams playing for an NCAA Tournament bid. The Tigers just keep coming. It will be interesting to see how they finish out the CAA Conference Regular Season schedule.
