Town Hall Meeting for on Redeveloping Suburbia

Hi Folks, For #DoSomethingDay we're organizing a town-hall like meeting, here at our (very large, aging) condominium complex, focused on the question of?How do we redevelop suburban neighborhoods, before we see more debacles like Miami’s Champlain Towers collapse, Andover’s Exploding gas mains, Flint Michigan’s water system?

We're focusing on our own situation, but in the context of Massachusetts’s?10-town pilot project wherein our town, and 9 others have passed?decarbonization?ordinances - that force large-scale redevelopment projects to? be fossil fuel free - something that both imposes some serious constraints on our future plans,?and?that offers some serious opportunities to attract funding as a pilot project; and in the larger context of aging condominium complexes everywhere, seemingly unable to find their way forward.

This is a step forward for a broader Suburban Redevelopment Strategies Study.?We were planning to mount a marketing campaign in conjunction with the America 250 celebrations that have been coming online While we gather to celebrate our first 250 years, let’s give some thought to where we want to go next).?

?And then along comes Kamala Harris, with a focus on?housing, cutting middle class costs, creating opportunities,?new business creation, and coming together around a New Way Forward, and a request from #FoundersForHarris to organize events for #DoSomethingDay. What a great opportunity to in #TownMeetingAssemble so that #WeThePeople may chart a #NewWayForward #ForThePeople #ForTheFuture for another 250 years of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, in an America Reborn.?
