Town of Collierville Appoints Two New Aldermen to Fill Vacant Seats

At a special called meeting on January 16, 2025, the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen appointed Jewel Jordan and Charles Hall to fill positions one and two on the board. Following the appointments, the aldermen immediately took the oath of office administered by Mayor Maureen Fraser.

These appointments follow a comprehensive selection process that included interviews with nine finalists out of 39 applicants. The new aldermen will serve until the next municipal election on November 3, 2026. The vacancies arose due to the resign-to-run rule, which required former Aldermen Maureen Fraser and Billy Patton to step down from their seats during their campaigns for mayor in the November 2024 election.
