#TowerPower Upcoming Events in May

The Power of the Tower [Club] is real! How many relationships and opportunities happen every day at the Tower Club of Tysons? Too many to count, but plenty for you to benefit from.

As one of the member-led clubs at Tower Club, the Government Contracting Club places a high value on your time, which means we are careful and methodical about the content we curate. Robert Genesoni, Benjamin Stinson and I (Go-To-Guy Timberlake), have but two goals. They are:

  1. Provide relevant and timely content and networking that supports the growth of Tower Club members and guests.
  2. Grow the Tower Club Tysons Corner member community by Building Relationships & Enriching Lives?.

That said, here's a roundup of upcoming events you don't want to miss!

May 10th is the Swing Time Social!, a collaboration between the Government Contracting Club and my organization, GovCon Club (The American Small Business Coalition). It's fun, food and networking at Topgolf Ashburn, and it's attended by small and large companies contractors, essential services providers and government agencies. This event is graciously sponsored by our friends at Parabilis.

May 11th is the RFI Town Hall Meeting hosted by Parabilis in McLean, VA. This collaboration brings together Contracting, Customers, Small Business and Large Business to discuss the intended use and outcomes of agencies leveraging Requests For Information. Have an opinion. Be there to share!

May 12th features me leading one of my favorite discussions during a SITREP Briefing. The topic is Tactics, Tools and Resources for Connecting the Dots! and as you can imagine, this is all about beyond best practices for business development and market research. You will walk away better equipped to succeed in the federal sector. I promise.

May 20th has us joined by the team from NASA SEWP to discuss What Makes SEWP So Hot? After all, they did crack $10 billion in fiscal spending during FY 2021. We think that's pretty hot! This is a Pinnacle Breakfast Series presentation.

May 24th is Using the GAUGE to Grow in GovCon with Christine Williamson of CohnReznick to discuss the 2021 GAUGE Report. For this lunch event, we're joined by federal sector business leaders from Morgan Business Consulting and ANSER who have utilized the GAUGE Report to influence their strategy. Come hear how it's going!

May 26th is In the KOs Corner with Jaime Gracia from Department of State Office of the Procurement Executive (A/OPE). Jaime will discuss State Department's Center for Acquisition Experience or Acq-X, and the different areas of responsibility that include the cognitive procurement tools portfolio, including Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning capabilities designed to reduce friction for State procurement professionals, Category Management Vendor Management and establishing an Innovation Program at Department of State.

It's going to be a busy and a fruitful month. See you soon!

Feel the #TowerPower,
