Tower Supplies' End of Financial year event

A week ago today, Friday 8th June, what a day! It was the day that Tower Supplies held our end of financial year event down at the Hotel Mirimar in Bournemouth, right by the sea, and by all accounts, everyone had a very enjoyable time.
There was an update from the Senior Management Team as to what happened last year, and the plans we have for this coming financial year, and it’s pretty exciting stuff. It’s all about measuring what we have done and are doing, understanding those measurements and using them to bring in controls which will ultimately allow us to continually improve. In fact, this was the theme of our company meeting. You see, we have a formula that we know helps our clients improve their organisations, and its called MUCI (pronounced moo-kye). It stands for:
Measurement + Understanding x Control = Improve
Contact your Tower account manager to discuss how we can achieve results in your business through the processes and tools that contribute towards MUCI.
We also announced a momentous, but equally as stimulating change in the company management. Jonathan Aris who founded the company back in 1983 has decided that his experience can be better used in other parts of the organisation, and has handed the running of the company to the next generation of the family. Charles Aris is now taking responsibility for leading the Senior Management Team to smash the company targets and to take the company to the next level.
Jonathan, as Senior Partner and Founder of Tower and Charles, together with Daniel Aris, Senior Partner, will all feature in a new corporate video that will update more about Tower which is coming soon.
What with the focus on the environment of recent days, we have grabbed this opportunity to make the future of the environment better and have set ourselves some environmental targets for 2018/19. The one which we believe will have the greatest impact, is to reduce the number of small orders that we send out. We really appreciate any customers who manage to get their order value above the carriage threshold of £50, as this allows us and our customers to save time and reduce the carbon footprint.
We also talked about our updated quality policy for 2018/19 and the new targets, which demonstrate our understanding and interpretation of the PPE Regulation and the effects it will have on us as a distributor, manufacturer and importer.
All in all, it was a full-on event with loads of updates, bags of passion, and a great evening meal for the staff which was appreciated by all! Bring on 2018/19.
