The ‘towel’
Throwing in a ‘towel’ takes lot of courage. Instead, it is mostly misunderstood as a sign of weakness. In reality, the message is that ‘I will improve and come back’.
?We have way more critics than supporters these days. Thanks to abundant misuse of social media that everyone thinks they know everything and must make a comment that ignites fire than calming things down. We all need attention and unfortunately ‘negativity’ provides that.
?For the ones who throw the ‘towel’, need support. This isn’t a time to lecture them and make them feel like a failure. The need is to let them know that it was courageous for them to take this action, which allows them more time to regain strength and return stronger.
?Everyone has a story, and most aren’t fairytales. Before we judge or critic anyone, it is important to understand the background, which requires time. Be patient prior to passing a comment. Instead, invest time to know what went wrong and what can be done to make it better? This will be appreciated and will come back to you in some good form and maybe help you when you throw in the 'towel'.
