Tours Of Birmingham's First Rep Theatre
As the UK's unique first purpose-built repertory theatre, The Old Rep on Station Street Birmingham occupies a unique place in theatre history. This iconic theatre built by Sir Barry Jackson, played a central role in the early careers of many celebrated actors and theatre makers.
Now, from February through to July the theatre will be conducting behind the scenes tours to reveal a fascinating history from it's 105 years. The tours will cost £8-00 each which also includes coffee, tea and biscuits at the end.
Tours dates are Saturday 24th February at 1pm and 3pm Friday 16th March 2pm Saturday 19th May 2pm Saturday 7th July 1pm and 3pm. The demand for these first tours are expected to be popular and spaces are limited so please do book early.

6 年This theatre first established a movement which led eventually to the establishment of the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, not to mention other companies in the rest of the UK. It's great to see it celebrating its heritage and reminding people of Birmingham's distinguished cultural and theatrical heritage.
