Tourism with Tour Operators!

There are different ways of marketing in Tourism. Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.), traditional media (TV, newspapers, radio, etc.).

But if you work for massive number of tourists, inevitably you need to work with Tour Operators. And for this, there is bill to pay.

Once you make contract with a Tour Operator for a market (example for German market with a German Tour Operator) you become dependent on that Tour Operators in Germany.

From now on, your hotels everything for German tourists is in this Tour Operator's hands. And the more funny thing is that, your Hotel is just one among many others in the Tour Operators hotel portfolio.

You can not get German tourists without this Tour Operator because the tour operator provides very important other services for clients. Even if you make expensive marketing in TV, Newspapers and find clients to come, the tour operator has possibility to say "the hotel is fully booked" and redirect your clients to another without your knowledge.

For Tour Operators the only important point is that, the client choosing one hotel that is one from their portfolio. The Tour Operator creates very closed booking agents network in Germany and prevents holteliers to reach out them.

However, from time to time there are fairs being organized (example ITB Berlin , World Travel Market (WTM) London etc.) in the tourists supplying countries. Hotels have chance to attend for marketing and they are even advised to attend by Tour Operators. But the problem with marketing during fairs is that they are being organized few times a year only and with very tight schedule.

Now when you attend, you will see hundreds of other competitors and everyone will do the same by trying to reach out to as many booking agents as possible and say the same thing: My hotel is the best one, please recommend mine to your clients.

This will be requested from every booking agent by every attendee that they meet during this fair.

Why should the agent recommend yours?

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say, "If you recommend my hotel to your clients, I will give you a commission?"

Isn`t this is a more realistic, more fair and more relevant way to free market?

Because you hotelier doesn`t want the customer for God's sake only. He wants for more business.

This advice must have a reward for the agent. It is valuable advice. Because tourism is not a professional business for hoteliers only, it is a professional work for the booking agents too.

In that case agent should ask his question in return: OK, I will recommend yours, but what is the reward for my recommendation?

Is there such system so that Hotelier reward agents in return for bookings?

Yes there is. We have created a system (www.heberi.com) that provides this for the first time in the Worlds Tourism industry.

With the new system, hotelier creates his hotels advertising using ready templates from his desktop and sends it directly to the accounts of the booking agents in the same system. As adverts are being transmitted internally, there is no risk of being marked as SPAM and being redirected to the agents JUNK folder. No one can prevent the advert from reaching the Agent's.

Moreover, the Hotelier has the opportunity say "I will pay this amount to your PayPal for every reservation you make on my hotel" and pay it to the Agent's PayPal account without bank transaction etc. And without having to deal with bank transfers etc.

In this way, the hotelier can get more Agents to recommend his hotel and has the opportunity to collect more reservations for his hotel and eventually for his Tour Operator too.

Otherwise, saying "my hotel is the best" is generally what everyone says and its meaningless.
