Ogbunike Caves are a collection of caves located in Oyi, Anambra State of south eastern Nigeria. It is on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Situated in a valley and surrounded by tropical rain forest, the caves has been in use for centuries by the locals, who believe in its spiritual significance. The caves consist of 10 tunnels and a main chamber. Ogbunike caves have retained the same biodiversity for hundreds of years. During the slave trade era, people hid from slave raiding activity in Ogbunike Caves.

Enter into the main chambers of the caves, where you can find bat’s nest high above the cave floor.
