Toughest choices in life - RESULTS

When LinkedIn introduced a new feature, the poll, I decided to have a little fun with it.

A poll is a very powerful tool and it is used for many important business and life decisions. The strength of the survey lies in the way the question was asked.

Polls can be fun and intriguing. If you choose the right questions, you can learn a lot about the person answering.

Throughout two months I posted 10 interesting polls about tough choices in life.

If you participated in the polls you can find out the meaning of your answers. If you haven't participated, feel free to share these polls with your colleagues and friends and have some fun.

Selected answers reveal little about your character, but keep in mind that these polls are for fun only.

As I'm always transparent, I am sharing with you the results and even my answers. You can see them as the selected options.

1. Time changer ??

If you'd rather "see the future", you are excited for what life brings you. Even though patience is not your biggest virtue, you know what you want and you want it now! Sometimes you may lack motivation working on your longterm goals, as you prefer results to be visible in the short run.

If you'd like to "change the past" you are less spontaneous but more practical. You enjoy recalling good old memories and you love nostalgia. You think twice before every life choice, as you want to make a perfect decision. This can often lead to overthinking and indecisiveness.

2. Hometown ??

If you picked "never leave your hometown", you’re sentimental. You like the good old times and you are probably a bit traditional. You’re patriotic and proud of your family and your roots. You also like to stick with what you know and you are not very spontaneous.

If you elected "leave, but you can't return", you’re fascinated by the world. You love experiencing new things and throwing yourself into unfamiliar situations. You’re great at adapting to changes in your life and career, and you don’t hold on to anything too emotionally.

3. Passing away ??

If you chose "when you're going to pass away", you are very curious, sometimes even too much for your own good. You’re not too emotional and you take things as they come. You live a busy life and if someone sees you sitting around, it probably means you’re productive and getting stuff done.

If you picked "how you're going to pass away" then you’re a practical and pragmatic thinker. You thrive off a sense of security and enjoy the simple things in life. You’re most likely hard-boiled and tough, not having problems with handling the truth.

4. Money ??

If you picked "a guaranteed $10,000" then you like security and you are very sensible. You don’t like gambling for all or nothing and you take more pleasure in knowing that you will be secure, even when taking a risk would have a higher chance of you profiting from it.

If you chose "50/50 shot at $1 million" then you live hard and fast but sometimes things don’t work out for you. You have an all-or-nothing mindset and you are confident in your decisions. You like to gamble and would rather have it all and risk everything than play it safe.

5. Living ??

If you went with "amazing short life", you are a fearless person living a fast and frantic life. You live in the moment and don’t plan much for the future. You act first and deal with what comes later, whether it be good or bad.

If "average long life" was your choice, you like to play things safe. You don’t feel the need to stand out in the crowd and you are perfectly happy living a relaxed and good life you planned ahead. Sometimes you worry about what’s to come but with your caring attitude, you will likely have a long and promising future.

6. People passing ??

If you chose "one person who's close to you", then you’re pragmatic and unfazed by emotions. You think about the greater good and you have a sense of right and wrong. You’re incredibly selfless and you are willing to give things up for others.

If you chose "100 people who you don't know", then you’re sentimental and have deep connections with people. You like things as they are and don’t get too involved with issues not relating to you. You love and focus on your own life while making decisions to make it better.

7. Home ??

If you chose "sailboat as your home" you are a spontaneous person with a great passion for an adventure. You are aware that you don't know where life can take you tomorrow, especially in a year or two. Therefore, you enjoy little things in life and try to live life to the fullest.

If you elected "RV as your home", you like to have both feet on the ground. You like to travel, but you prefer everything to be well-planned and organized. Leaving things as they are and seeing where that can lead is just not in your gene.

8. Senses ??

If you'd rather lose "the ability to read" you are a true extrovert. You like to be around people, hanging out, and sharing your thoughts. You like to meet new people and get to know them. People often describe you as fun to be around!

If you'd rather lose "the ability to speak" then a night out with a group of 10 unfamiliar faces may sound like a nightmare to you. You are a private person who doesn't like to open themselves to everyone. You have a small circle of people, but they are the ones you know you can trust.

9. Keys ??

If you picked "one get out of jail free card" you are a decisive person who knows what they want in life. You are confident in your ability to make a good decision, but even when you fail you will find your way up. That's why you always like to be prepared and have a plan B. You believe in second chances.

If you chose "a key that opens any door" you like to have multiple options in life. There are a variety of fields you like and a lot of activities you like doing, which might be hard for you to focus on one niche. You like exploring and learning new things.

10. Time ?

If you picked "always be 10 minutes late" you usually like to put yourself first and make the most out of your day. You don't like to waste time and you often feel that 24 hours are just not enough for you. However, if you have a lot on your mind, you may often find yourself procrastinating.

If you chose "always be 20 minutes early" you are a kind and respectful person. You are always there when one needs help. Sometimes you worry too much about what others might think out you, so you try your best to leave a good impression.
