A Tough Year for Businesses
BIPC Northamptonshire
Business & IP Centre Northamptonshire at West Northamptonshire Council. Operating across the whole of Northamptonshire
2020 has been a tough year for businesses and one that many can’t wait to see finish. It’s fair to say that almost every business up and down the country has been affected by the pandemic.
Throughout this testing time the Business and IP Centre Northamptonshire has continued to support businesses throughout the shire to start up (seeing new opportunities during this adversity) and to skill up and re-brand (adapting to the new business environment). This year has forced many businesses to take a step back, and with that, the opportunity to further develop their long-term business plans and goals through our market research resources, one-to-one advice and mentoring.
A highlight this year for BIPC Northamptonshire has been to secure funding from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), which has enabled us to expand our activities and provide more resources. Post-coronavirus restrictions we will also be able to offer our sessions and one-to-one advice services at two more libraries, which will give even more opportunities to businesses next year.
In 2021 we will be launching several initiatives to further support and develop the local business environment, as well as continue our Reset Restart webinar series that also sees the introduction of peer-to-peer networking sessions. So look out for our updates in the new year.
We hope that you and those in your network have been able to remain in business and wish that 2021 will be a better, healthier and happier year for you all.
Kind regards
BIPC Northamptonshire team
