Touchdown for Las Vegas

It was a great night of football,?and for the?past few years,?our teams in Las Vegas have been investing, testing, and preparing not only for Super Bowl LVIII,?but the 40M+ tourists and business travelers who come to the city each year, and for the 650k+ who call Las Vegas home.

Our network teams have?nearly tripled our network capacity and?doubled down on our 5G network across? Las Vegas. They have laid? more than?547 miles of fiber across the city - enough for a round trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Because of this investment, we can now offer our customers, visitors, and residents greater bandwidth and enable higher data speeds at Allegiant Stadium, along the strip, at the airport, in the convention center, and across? Las Vegas’ neighborhoods. Fun fact: Verizon customers used 52.34 TB of data in and around Allegiant Stadium for Super Bowl LVIII! Just ask Beyonce, our network Can’t B Broken!

We were also able to help two local residents attend the Big Game in person.? Congrats Angela and Daniel who won our local?sweepstakes for Nevada residents and received two tickets each! Hard to believe Angela moved to Vegas last year when her husband was stationed at a local air force base,?and Daniel had registered to work security for the Big Game, but instead, was able to have a seat and watch from the stands! From the big smiles in the photos we received from the winners, a great time was had by all!?

When it comes to moments that matter, either on or off our network, I will always bet on red.? For the week leading up to the?Big Game, Verizon and Total by Verizon teamed up with Goodr to provide over 15,000 meals to families across Las Vegas! We also joined forces with?the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and members of?its D.R.E.A.M youth athletic team to be Junior Correspondents, who helped? interview some of the biggest players in the NFL.?For me and my team, this is the way you score touchdowns.?

But there won’t be any victory dances from our teams as the lights of Allegiant Stadium dim and our conversations around the BEST Super Bowl LVIII ads fade. Our work is never done. Las Vegas is part of our Mountain Market, and our teams are committed to continuing to?build the BEST network?and being an instrumental part of this amazing community.?I’m incredibly proud of the way my teams have, and will continue, to show up.?
