We're in the coveted Jerusalem Chamber at Westminster Abbey where Henry IV of England died in 1413 (the Jerusalem Chamber makes an appearance in Act IV of Shakespeare's play Henry IV, Part 2).
What a historic location to hold a reception to mark the 50th Anniversary of The Arts Society, which for 50 years has been preserving the historic fabric of our nation through it's 90,000+ members and lecturers. No surprise then to find historians David Starkey CBE and Sir Roy Strong in the room.
