Touch Base...
Welcome to another quick edition of my "Focus. #deliver" weekly-ish Thursday LinkedIn Newsletter.
Remember the goal of each edition is for you to think about ONE specific problem and ONE actionable tip that can help you do less in order to become more productive.
Feeling disconnected?
Or, have you ever felt that way?
Let's dig into that a bit more for a few minutes.
The Problem:?I Feel Disconnected
This week, imagine you and I are in a Zoom / Microsoft Teams / Google Meet / Virtual Meeting together.
The screen freezes.
Where are we discussing, or what were we discussing before the screen froze?
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I feel disconnected."
As an introvert (that's me -- and if you are not an introvert then you have friends who are, so keep reading), I love keeping my head down and doing the work so I can move on to the next thing.
Rinse and repeat.
Sound familiar?

And then, I can "disconnect" from the world (remember, I don't get recharged or "fill my cup" by people-ing) for a while.
Rinse and repeat.
Then, it becomes a possible issue if I am just in Rinse and Repeat Mode.
Maybe that's NOT you (keep scrolling or leave a comment about what and how YOU "touch base" before you leave though [heh]).
If it IS you....
The Actionable Tip: Touch Base
Do this with someone you have not spoken with in a while.
Especially if it's been a hot minute.
I promise, it WILL help you do less in order to become more productive today.
Why?
Because you'll break out of your "Rinse and Repeat" pattern of disconnection.
And.
In the comments below, please share?ONE?actionable tip to help others "Touch Base" in order to do less and become more productive.
Oh yeah. Want to "touch base" with me?
