Topwater Application
Bay Flats Lodge on San Antonio Bay

Arranging a strategy that allows one to find trout away from the masses of boats and crowds lends itself to not only staying on fish consistently, but also keeping the location under the radar if you will. As of late, this is exactly has taken place from several of the guides.
Top water action heated up for wade fisherman yesterday. Good upper slot reds over deep grass beds. Bone and silver tops proved best color. Corky softdines have been responsible for fooling trout. The Flats HQ golden paddle tail was a big hit yesterday.
Redfish action continues to be solid. Yesterday boats boxed a variety of black drum and redfish along with limits to near limits of speckled trout while using live shrimp and TTF lures tipped under a rattle cork. Best action was had on ¼ oz. jig heads.
Friday’s Weather Forecast
Today:
Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. A stray of shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 79 F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph.
Tonight:
Same as today. Low 71F. Chance of rain 50%.
Synopsis:
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect south Texas through sunrise. Rainfall rates in thunderstorms may exceed one inch per hour...but most locations will see far less than this. If you hear thunder...go inside! Lightning is one of nature's number one killers.
