The Topic of TRUTH Explored

I have been writing on this general topic now for over two years and continue to learn new things and see different perspectives. It is a topic that some find interesting, even intriguing, and important, and yet do not seem to want to talk much about. Why?

Do people fear TRUTH? Is it uncomfortable for them? Or do they just not know how to respond? The subject can get very deep, delving into philosophy, psychology, and even everyday life, making it a rich subject for exploration. Life can become exceedingly difficult and entwined. Here are several key reasons I have found for pursuing the subject.

TRUTH is an essential element of everything we do. We cannot successfully base our lives on lies. How can you make any decision, trust anything as being real, or accept anything as being a fact without some level of confidence that it is the TRUTH? They try to say that TRUTH is relative, subjective, objective, or any other qualifying word they can find without understanding these full implications. Truth is crucial in various aspects of life, from personal relationships to societal issues.?Understanding and seeking truth can help individuals make better decisions and lead more authentic lives.

In today’s world, where misinformation is rampant, the quest for TRUTH is more relevant than ever.?People are keen to learn how to discern truth from falsehood. Politics is the prime example of this. Leadership is based upon trusting people to make decisions and to act on your account. We elect people to represent us because otherwise life would become completely out of control, with no one in charge of providing direction. This much power without checks and balances has its own challenges. When these checks and balances begin to break down, and they will, people suffer.

Different cultures and ethical frameworks have unique perspectives on TRUTH, which can be fascinating to explore.? In some, lies and deceit is an accepted norm and one that is actually respected. This is why diplomacy can be so difficult without a clear understanding of the various cultural norms. Desires for social status, wealth, or power can also be tremendous barriers to TRUTH. Such desires can overcome every other human emotion, including love and fear, to direct thoughts and actions. Greed and envy are powerful motivators that can convince us that almost anything can be justified.

TRUTH also has clear ethical implications that are also essential when talking about the subject. The basis of TRUTH is that something, anything is either right, or it is not. TRUTH is based upon these ethics. Again, you will find those who try to bend “TRUTH” to their thinking, but it is still either right, or it is wrong in the end. My approach to TRUTH is just that; I call it OneTRUTH Leadership. You must take a stand with TRUTH, and I choose to take this stand believing in God and that He is TRUTH, and that His Son, Jesus, is the TRUTH and LIGHT of the world. I understand that not everyone believes this way but, for me, it is TRUTH.

I have only begun to scratch the surface of exploring the full implications and meanings of TRUTH. My hope is that I have at least sparked some interest in exploring the topic with me.? I continue to find TRUTH implications in many different words and concepts and would welcome and encourage your thoughts.
