Today at ISPOR Europe 2024, we continued to dive deeper into the importance of scientific evidence in understanding and improving the health and well-being of people across the globe, in addition to other key health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) themes and healthcare trends. ISPOR's President, Eberechukwu Onukwugha from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD, USA, gave an opening Presidential Address, followed by remarks from this year's Avedis Donabedian Lifetime Achievement Awardee, C. Daniel Mullins from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Baltimore, MD, USA. The second plenary session focused on “Ready, Set, Go: The Last Sprint for the EU HTAR," with sessions following that discussed uses of real-world data, EU HTA Regulation and joint clinical assessment, value assessment, artificial intelligence, patient access, digital health, and more. ISPOR Europe 2024 main conference programming started today! We’re excited to be welcoming more than 6300 attendees from around the globe for a packed program comprising more than 140 sessions on all things HEOR (health economics and outcomes research), 3000+ research posters, over 120 exhibitors, dedicated networking opportunities, and more! The theme of this year’s annual European conference is “Generating Evidence Toward Health and Well-Being.” Today’s keynote address delivered by Mimi Choon-Quinones, Founder & Board Chairwoman (pro-bono), Partners For Patients NGO, “Translating from EU to Africa to Empower Patient Involvement and Access to Healthcare” and opening plenary session, “The Evidence-Price Conundrum: What Is the Way Forward for Patient Access?” kicked off our main conference programming.
