Creating a strategy for your chosen social media platform allows you to identify your social media goals and create a plan to achieve them. Think of a strategy like your bible! It’s something that you use as a guide, can always refer back to and measure your progress and success.
Have a think about what you want to get out of being active on social media. It could be:
- brand awareness
- increasing clientele
- educating others in the industry.
Or, all of the above!
Work your strategy around these goals and keep them in mind with every action you take on your platform. It’s also important to consider that each social media platform requires a different approach. This is because every platform works differently with a diverse audience. The end goal will remain the same. However, a different strategy is required to meet those goals.
Let’s move on to content. Content plays a crucial role in meeting your social media goals. If your content is well thought out and of high quality, this can heavily impact:
- building relationships and trust with your audience
- building a strong online presence
- standing out against your competitors.
Think about the content you are currently sharing on your social media platform.
- Is the quality high?
- Does it align with your business values and goals?
- Are you just sharing content for the sake of it and not thinking it through?
Your content represents your business so always choose quality over quantity. People can see straight through a post that has been rushed and not well thought out for the sake of sharing.

4 年Which begs the question are you clear on your audience (target)? If you know this you will know how they feel and think, the language they use and the things they value most and find most painful. Work out what your comms objsective is then the next step is communicating the value you offer them, in their language and nailing the key messages with simple and compelling narrative every time. This creates trust in a space that often has none!
