Top tips to build an SME People Strategy - where do I start?

Which line manager in the world doesn’t fear losing their best people? This is the worry that keeps business leaders awake at night. Why? Because demand is exceeding supply in the War For Talent and technology development is resulting in jobs being recruited today, that didn’t exist a few years ago - compounding  a skills shortage. In a nutshell, it’s never been harder to replace ‘good people!’

99.9% of UK businesses are SMEs. That means that the majority of us HAVE TO BE experiencing similar challenges against the current market backdrop;

  • How do we compete against the big brand names that can ‘throw cash’ at attraction strategies?
  • How do we keep our best people when the career path doesn’t share the same gradient as our Blue Chip counterparts?
  • How do we create an Employer Value Proposition when most of the talent in the market has never even heard of us?
