Top Ten Steps To Creating A Pivot Player For Your Team
I like to use a pivot with my teams especially the ones playing 11v11 but they work with 9v9 and to an extent 7v7 as well. Basically it is a tactical approach that enhances ball retention, builds attacking plays, and sharpens decision-making skills – think of how Rodri plays for Manchester City he controls the play in both attack and defence.
These are the things you need to work on to develop players capable of playing the role.
Working on developing a pivot not only strengthen the team's structure but you also create well-rounded players who can read the game impacting both offensive and defensive success.
